It is extremely important that if you love the adventures of Alby Mangels and want other generations to know about him and would like to once again see Adventure Bound on TV to reignite interest among a whole new group of potential fans you do your part!

"What can I do to help?"

First all of, right this minute, immediately update this thread on the Travel Channel forums requesting that Adventure Bound be brought back on the air (http://discussions.travelchannel.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/5331987908/m/8941972659) and express clearly why! Each and every fan of Alby should do this today! Don't procrastinate.

Also, help these forums become active. Tell others about Alby and why you love the shows and what watching them has meant to you. Share your videos!

Has Alby ever submitted his programs to the Public Broadcasting Service? I know that I once watched "Lonely Planet" on the Travel Channel, and now watch their programs aired on PBS (NPT -Nashville's PBS) as "Globe Trekker".

I don't know if PBS pays producers well, but it would be excellent exposure. Anyway, just and idea - I have included the following links for your information:

The "Adventure Bound with Alby Mangels" thread started on travelchannel.com was getting some positive exposure; however, it has slid-off the first page and seems to be dying out. It would be great if we all would monitor the following link:

...and sign-in and add a comment once in a while to keep Alby's thread visible on the top part of the first page. We could stagger/time our comments so that a new participant's comments would serve to keep the "ball in the air" (bounce Alby's thread back to the top of the first page) when it slides down too far.

Participation in the travelchannel.com thread would be greatly appreciated! :)

Actually, 2 threads were started (one comment and one poll) which have been separated by a page...participation in both threads would be great to keep Alby visible to the casual forum visitor.

ADVENTURE BOUND was definitely one show that was a must to see and I waited impatiently for the next episode to air. Would really enjoy seeing it again! Left a post on the TC.
My daughter and her husband went to the outback for 3 weeks and she/they had never heard of Alby Masngles, so I told them all about him and the places he went and things he did. They brought back a cap that had Austrailian Outback on it. A guy at work saw it and said he lived there for 5 yrs and had definitely heard of Alby. After seeing Alby and his friend drive the JEEP WAGONEER I have wanted one ever since. Thanks for the site!

James, I had a neighbor with a Wagoneer and having ridden in one alot, I can say they are awesome vehicles. Alby's was amazing!
